California!

Kaile and I left Rexburg on Friday and stayed with my parents over the weekend. We had homemade pizza and Jamba Juice with Katie and Dave and Brittney and Eric in Provo. My mom, sister, and I went to my soon to be sister-in-law Katie's family bridal shower and then went maternity clothes shopping! I got some great pants and a few shorts. We stayed with my parents until Monday and then drove to St. George. We played and visited with Sarah and Brady Hiatt (our selling friends from last summer). We went to Red Robin and then to an amazing frozen yogurt place called Krave! Sarah and Brady worked their magic and got us a free hotel room! It was amazing! After a great homemade breakfast we left for California. Tuesday evening we made it to our hotel, checked in and then went to Outback cause we were starving. On Wednesday we woke up bright and early for free continental breakfast and our shuttle to Disneyland! We spent the whole day at Disneyland and had an awesome time. The lines were short and the weather was great! Kaile was in heaven, this being his first time to Disneyland! We both loved Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and meeting Mickey! Thursday we spent the day in California Adventure and again had short lines and great weather. Our favorite ride was this new toy story 3D arcade game ride. It was really fun! We also liked Soarin' Over California and Grizzly Bear Rapids! On Friday we checked out of our hotel and drove to New Port for a day at the beach. We had lunch on the pier and saw a baby seal. After that we had to start our drive home. California traffic is insane! It took us 2 hours to go 30 miles! The traffic was insane all the way to Vegas where luckily we got to spend the night with Kaile's mission friend Nick Anderson and his wife Lindi! We had pizza and watched a movie and had a great time catching up with them! On Saturday after a great breakfast (thanks Lindi) we headed for home. I got stung by a "mean" bee  as we were leaving Las Vegas (we still don't know how it got in the car?) but other than that the drive home was uneventful. A quick stop in Salt Lake to see my parents and have dinner and then we drove to Rexburg!!! Our trip was short and sweet and as Kaile said "not very relaxing" but we had a great time.

P.S. Sorry that I don't have any pictures... Kaile uploaded them to his computer and erased them from the camera and then later in the week his computer hard drive crashed taking with it all my Disneyland pictures!:(
