Portfolio Review

Tonight I passed my portfolio review! I feel so happy :) I am all set to start student teaching in January!
Thanks for all of your support and well wishes! Now it will be a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for us!

Halloween

For Halloween this year we went to our Bishop's house for a costume contest, pinata, and yummy drinks and donuts. It was inside  his garage which was fun because it was warm. Rexburg is so cold and I don't like being cold, so we didn't do any trick or treating!

Brecken was a bat and the cutest bat I have ever seen! Kaile's mom made this costume for Kaile when he was two and when we were there over the summer she gave it to us for Brecken.

Utah's Hogle Zoo

Brecken, Grandma Craigo and I all went to the Hogle Zoo! We had such a fun time and so much has changed at the zoo since I was little. The elephant and rhino habitat is amazing as well as the new Asian Highland where they have 5 tigers! Brecken liked the monkeys and elephants best as well as playing on the playground and trying to walk everywhere. It was a perfect day, slightly overcast and no crowds! Lunch afterwards at Red Butte Cafe made our day perfect.

Summer 2011

First, Kaile got his braces off!!! 18 months of metal mouth is quite long enough. Hopefully we won't have to do braces for a while... 12 years until Brecken would need them at least and maybe by that time we will have forgotten how much they cost :$ and what a pain they are!

We spent 3 weeks in Utah with the Craigo's and for a week of the three stayed at the Park City Mountainside Marriott, which was amazing. We had good food, plenty of swimming, fun games (I beat Colin at Acquire!) and much more. Brecken loved the pool and all the balls. While in Utah we celebrated  my birthday by going to see Joseph at Hale Center and out to Sushi... what could be better? We also did our fair share of lunching, shopping and badmittoning!

After our time in Utah we went to Wyoming to spend two weeks with the Myricks. Kassidi and her kids came up from New Mexico as well so all 4 grandkids got to meet and play. Brecken sure does loves his cousins! We celebrated our birthdays again and I got a DQ ice cream cake, which was delicious. Brecken got a new car seat! We went to Horseshoe bend to go swimming and Brecken got a bee sting below his eye so it was puffy and sore for a couple days. We also went down to Thermopolis to go to the hot springs, plus the trips to Cody to cruise main... We also went to the Bog Horns to fish and we saw a moose!

On our way home from Wyoming we went through Yellowstone and had lunch by the lake and also watched Old Faithful. Overall it was a great trip back to the burg.

Now we are settled into our new apartment and getting back to the grind of full time school. Brecken walked for the first time on September 18th and I cried... where has my baby gone?

We had some family/ brecken turns one pictures taken by our good friend and used to be neighbor Rebekah Seely. She put up a sneak preview on her blog and I just had to post them on mine. I think they turned out fantastic. Brecken is getting too big!

Double the Birthday, Double the Fun!

On sunday we celebrated Brecken's first birthday and my 23rd birthday! I can't believe he is already a year old and that this time a year ago we were bringing him home from the hospital. A lot has happened in a year and Brecken is just so big and handsome. Everyone thinks he is a girl because of his hair but I don't care! He is not walking yet just happy speed crawling and walking along the furniture. He loves balls and cars and steering wheels. He is babbling mama, dada, and baba but we still aren't sure if he knows what he is saying. He waves bye bye and gives high fives irregularly but is getting better at it.  His favorite game right now is taking things out of drawers/containers and then putting all the stuff back in. He also like helping Grammy garden by transferring dirt from one container to another. He is such a good baby, now toddler and he loves to laugh and smile. He is his daddies little buddy and they love to rough house and play together. For our birthday celebration we had steak, potatoes, corn on the cob, grilled vegetables and mint brownies! Everything was so yummy!!! Brecken liked his brownie and made a big mess:) We unwrapped his birthday presents and he liked the wrapping paper and boxes as much as the presents. He got a sippy cups, new clothes and shoes, a block set, a plate, cup, bowl and utensils, and a john deere riding toy! We also need to get him his new car seat because he is a bit squashed in his old one. I got workout clothes, two pairs of capris, a skirt, a new "willowtree" figurine and tickets to see Joseph at Hale Centre Theatre. Overall it was a great day and I probably won't get a birthday of my own for a long time, but that is fine with me. I sure love my big little boy and am so glad he is mine!

Bear Lake

Brecken and I went to visit Grammie and Grampy again in Utah. We again had a great time and I forgot to take pictures of the fun stuff we did... but I do have a few random ones!

After a week in Utah we packed up to go to Bear Lake to celebrate the 4th of July and Bart's 30th Birthday as a family. Kaile met up with us at the Lake and we had a great time. While at the Lake my Dad's brother Jason and his wife Jenette and their three kids from Ohio stayed with us for a couple of days. We had great food:), went tubing and wake-boarding, played games and I now have a new best cousin... Jaelin!
