Things to Remember

These pictures are from a while ago but I wanted to blog about them anyway. Brecken is really liking "pretend play" lately. His favorite thing for a while was to play "sleepy nigh night"... Anytime there is a blanket or pillow he wants to pretend to go to sleep and then anyone around him has to lay on the floor/pillow and pretend to sleep with him. Brecken also loves Ring around the Rosie and Red Rover. I use these games to move Brecken from place to place and its been really effective at transitioning him away from preferred activities without a melt down! Yay!

 Sleepy night night

Playing on mom and dad's bed is always the best... lots of covers!

Dress up is always a hit as well, hats and mom's shoes!

Brecken is now obsessed with mows...  otherwise known as motorcycles! He is definitely Kaile's son and has inherited a love of all things with wheels. Even just hearing a big truck or loud motorcycle sends Brecken running to the door. Kaile is so great and will take Brecken on little rides around the parking lot. Brecken knows which key starts the motorcycle and which one is the ignition button... boys!

My Motorcycle Men

Brecken is still loving basketball...He plays at our apartment complex almost everyday and its a special treat to play with Dad on Saturdays or when he is home early from work. I can't lift Brecken up to make a real basket but Dad can so he is automatically more fun! Being short is the worst :) Brecken can dribble the ball about 5 times in a row and is also a really good shot. He is also liking soccer now and can kick, run and not look at the ball all at the same time, something I have yet to master!

Also wanted to give a little update... Kaile graduates on July 20 and then we are spending a week in Wyoming with the Myrick's. After that we are driving to St. Louis (leaving Brecken with Grandma) to find a place to live (cross your fingers) and check out Logan College of Chiropractic. Later in August my little Brother gets home from his mission and we have a little family vacation planned. Then in early in September we pack up and drive 19+ hours to St. Louis, MO our new home for 4 years!
