On July 16, 2008 Kaile and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. We had a wonderful wedding dinner and reception up at Millcreek Inn that evening with family and friends.
We then went to Las Vegas for our honeymoon! We stayed at the Luxor... the big pyramid hotel for 5 days. We had a great time eating sushi at the Paris, watching the Bellagio Fountains, visiting the M & M factory, playing arcade games and going to the Cheesecake Factory.
Kaile served his mission in Las Vegas so he loved being back. We even saw one of his mission companions Nick Anderson and his mission treasurer Brother Zobrist.
When we had to come back to real life so that Kaile wouldn't fail his summer classes or get fired, we lived with my Grandma and Grandpa Carter. We basically took over their entire basement for a month... Thank you Grandma and Grandpa... you are the best! We absolutely loved living there with them.
Oh, I almost forgot... on July 30th I got my tonsils out. I moved back home for about 10 days and my great mom took care of me while Kaile finished school and work. It actually wasn't as bad as I anticipated. I healed quickly and I was very grateful for pain killers... mmmm percocet! Kaile was such a good sport... we had only been married for 2 weeks but he would tickle my face, run to get my throw up bowl whenever I yelled, and tell me how pretty I was... even though I looked awful!
After I was better Kaile and I took a huge van full and trailer load full of furniture, (dressers, a king size bed, chairs and a couch), clothes, wedding gifts and more up to our 1 bedroom apartment in Rexburg... we had quite the adventure. I was amazed that all of our "stuff" fit in our very tiny apartment. We then headed back to SLC to tie up loose ends and prep for school.
Over Labor Day we went with my family to Bear Lake and had a really fun time. We watched movies and played games. Never play Risk or Axis and Allies with Colin... he is brutal and he always wins!
After a tearful goodbye my family left for Utah and Kaile and I left for Wyoming to visit his family before school started. We had a great time in Wyoming. Kaile's brother are so funny! We played Wii, went fishing, ate great food and just had a nice relaxing visit. We went through Yellowstone on the way to Wyoming... we saw a moose, some elk and Old Faithful. On the way home we came back through the Tetons and stopped in Jackson Hole to have Mile High Pizza Pie.
BYU-Idaho started on September 8th and classes here are a lot harder than they were at LDS Business College. The first week of school is always stressful but we are both getting the hang of things now. We know our way around campus and really like our ward and neighbors! We go to Wal-mart on a daily basis and I am having fun learning how to cook. I have even made home-made ice cream!
Love you all, The Myrick's
