Arizona Adventures

On April 9th Kaile, Brecken and I packed up and headed to Scottsdale, Arizona to meet Grandma and Grandpa Craigo for a week in the sun. Brecken did great on the plane and we were so relieved! We made it to Arizona at around 9 p.m. and my mom and dad picked us up at the airport. We got to our resort and hit the hay. The next day was Sunday and we went to church at a local ward and walked around our hotel and just had a nice time together.

On Monday we went to the pool! It was fabulous. Nice and sunny and warm! Brecken had a great time and we have decided he is quite the little "poser". He loves to lay on his side and just pose and watch people, its pretty funny. Mom and I did water aerobics while Kaile and dad read books and played with Brecken.

At night once Brecken was in bed we would all play Spades. Mom and Dad on a team against Kaile and I. It was really fun for us not so much for them... I got the Ace of Spades 8 out of 10 times on Monday night and then on Tuesday I got it every hand. On Wednesday they decided I had to switch seats and then my luck with the Ace wore off a bit and I only got it 3 times :) We won every game!!! It was insane and so much fun! I don't think my mom and dad will ever play with us again! The told me I should go to Vegas...

On Wednesday we went and walked around the shops and art galleries in Old Town Scottsdale. It was fun and we made some new friends...

On Thursday we went to the Grand Canyon and it was Amazing! It is a 3 hour drive from Phoenix but so worth it. The pictures don't do it justice. One day we will hike down and run the river but this time we just enjoyed the views from the top. On the way there we went through Sedona Valley and saw Bell Rock and enjoyed the "scenic route". Once you get to the Grand Canyon you have to take a shuttle to the look out points. It was a clear day so we were really lucky but still a bit breezy.

Friday was another lounge around/pool day and we just soaked up the sun. I got a new swimming suit and read 2 great books. Grandma and Grandpa were in heaven with Brecken and he got spoiled with so much attention!

On Saturday we had the morning to play but then had to pack up and get ready to go back to freezing Rexburg :( On the way home we flew right over the Grand Canyon so I got some more great pictures.

We had such a great trip and can't thank my parents enough! Can't wait for our next vacation or at least summer to hit Rexburg.
